11 OCTOBER 2021 – Tokyo – Numerical Technologies announced the launch of NtSaaS version 2.0, its next-generation financial risk management platform. This service will be available to clients starting from January 2022.
NtSaaS version 2.0 will be a web-based application that is native to cloud environments and reduce the maintenance burden on customers after its adoption, compared to the traditional server/client-based application. Clients will be able to access NtSaaS from web browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
In addition, NtSaaS version 2.0 will significantly improve the calculation performance of the Ultimate Forward Rate (UFR), which is used by life insurance companies to evaluate their policy reserves. This improvement in the program can only be realised in the NtSaaS version 2.0 environment. The effect varies depending on the amount of data to be calculated, for example if 100,000 Monte Carlo simulations for market risk are processed on a medium-sized calculation server, the speed will approximately be three times faster than the previous version.
Numerical Technologies will strive to continuously improve our SaaS solution, including performance improvements and allow for a more efficient risk management workflow, enabling clients to maximize the benefits of using NtSaaS.
